The personal quest for identity brings us to the encounter with the stranger and the confrontation with his image. He looks through our eyes. We called him Desire. FILM MY DESIRE -based on the real encounter with a mime actor- presents us the tense relations between protagonist and viewer/creator as a “deuteragonist” in an act of identification and radical appropriation of the other’s image where the boundaries between biography and fiction, film genre and sexual identification seem to fade.
This project was developed within the Filmlaboratorium, a residency programme of the Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf .
